How does precipitation form?
The main part of precipitation is a process called condensation, and that process is where the sunlight beams through the water. Water has 3 forms of states, and those forms are solid, liquid, and gas. But in this case of condensation, the water turns into vapor, and that vapor combines to make a surface such as a cloud that is just vapor. There are, though, different stages of clouds because there is a cumulus cloud where it is just vapor in a compacted area. The real one that causes precipitation is the nimbostratus cloud that really has the water. Really the vapor, when there is too much of it, the water from the gas form slowly turns back into water, making precipitation.
